1951
Setsuzo Onishi founds NICHIEI SHOKAI in Minami-ku, Osaka, specializing in sales and processing of cellophane and transparent films. He also works to develop the pharmaceutical field.
1952
DAIWA CELLOPHANE CO., LTD. is established. CEO, Setsuzo Onishi.
1960
Headquarters is built and moved to Tennoji-ku, Osaka.
1962
Himeji office opens.
1963
Company name is changed to DAIWA PACKAGE CO., LTD.
1966
Takatsuki office opens.
1968
Tokyo office opens.
1970
Ibaraki office opens.

MEISHIN CHEMICAL CO., LTD. is established in Shiga, as a printing factory, with a capital of JPY 20 million. CEO, Setsuzo Onishi.
1977
Nigata office opens.
1979
Meishin Processing Center Co., Ltd. is established on the premises of Meishin Chemical Co., Ltd. as a GMP-compliant clean factory for the final processing of clean packaging materials.
The factory is establishihed with a capital of JPY 48 million. CEO, Setsuzo Onishi.
1980
Capital increased to JPY 70 million.
1981
Our Shiga factory qualifies as a GMP policy designated factory by the 1st Qualifying Committee of the Flexible Packaging Hygiene Association.
Construction is completed on the headquarters and distribution center at 6-38-1, Takaida Hondori, Higashiosaka-shi, and integrates the headquarters and Takatsuki office. Offices are relocated.
1985
Our products are exhibited at Pack Osaka '85 at Intex Osaka.
CI is introduced. The company name, symbol mark and symbol color are changed.
1987
The company is honored as an excellent tax filing corporation for four consecutive terms (20 years).
1988
Representative Director Setsuzo Onishi receives the Yellow Ribbon Award.
He becomes the first Board Chairman of the National Foundation for the Promotion of Integration of Small and Medium Enterprises.
1990
Representative Director Setsuzo Onishi is reappointed as the Board Chairman of the National Foundation for the Promotion of Integration of Small and Medium Enterprises.
Representative Director Setsuzo Onishi becomes Chairman of the Board.
Vice President Yasuzumi Onishi becomes President.
1992
Daiwapax and Meishin Processing Center Co., Ltd. received an award for Excellence in Bedding Compression and Storage Bags from the National Foundation for the Integration of Small and Medium Enterprises.
Chairman Setsuzo Onishi is reappointed Board Chairman of the National Foundation for the Promotion of Integration of Small and Medium Enterprises.
1993
CEO Yasuzumi Onishi receives a letter of appreciation from the Factory Manager of Toshiba Corporation's Himeji Plant.
Hokkaido office opens. Recognition is awarded by the Governor of Osaka Prefecture as an Excellent Commercial and Industrial company.
A courtesy call is received for the fifth term (25 years) as an excellent tax filing corporation.
1994
The Higashi-Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry President's Award and the Nikkan Kogyo Shinbun Excellent Company Award are received.
1995
Utility model registration certificates for storage bags and three other items are received.
We participate in Techno Messe Kansai, Small and Medium Enterprise Business Messe '95 Tokyo and Techno Fair '95 Osaka.
1996
Our company exhibits products at the National Small and Medium Enterprise Business Messe '96 in Osaka.
Our company receives a certificate of utility model registration for a zabuton compression bag and three other products.
1997
Our company exhibits products at the National Small and Medium Enterprise Business Messe '97 in Tokyo and Kanazawa.
Our company exhibits products at the 1997 Small and Medium Business Fair in Higashiosaka. Our company also receives patent and design applications and utility model registration certificates for five items, including packaging bags for transporting bottles.
1998
Our company exhibits products at the National Small and Medium Enterprise Business Messe '98 in Tokyo and Kumamoto.
A courtesy call is received for the sixth term (30 years) as an excellent tax filing corporation.
A certificate of utility model registration is received, and three patents and designs are applied for, including a packaging bag for transporting bottles.

Meishin Chemical Co., Ltd. is awarded the gold medal for merit by Japanese Red Cross Society.
